SUMMER ROMANCE
Zimmermann, a boho luxe brand from Australia, launched its first Florida store in Bal Harbour. Aside from romantic ready to wear and resortwear, the location carries exclusive handcrafted sunglasses from its collaboration with British eyewear maker Cutler and Gross. Founders and sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann celebrated the grand opening during Miami swim week. They founded the ultra-feminine collection of vintage-inspired dresses in all-over lace and sheer floral prints, peasant blouses and sophisticated bathing suits in Sydney in the early Nineties. Their U.S. retail expansion focuses on New York, Los Angeles and Miami, though theyve been represented through luxury department stores and online retailers here for a while. Australian architect Don McQualters abundant use of arches throughout the all-white setting lends a touch of exoticism.

HOME OF HUMMUS
It seems like only yesterday that Phillys CookNSolo hospitality group imported Federal Donuts to Wynwood. Theyre already back with Dizengoff, the complete opposite of its adjacent sister restaurants fried fare. The authentic Israeli hummusiya borrows its inspiration from the stalls along its namesake street in Tel Aviv. Famous for his native Israeli cuisine, CookNSolo executive chef partner Michael Solomonov has perfected hummus to an art form by whipping the finest tahini with cooked chickpeas, cumin, garlic and lemon. The star dish comes with a variety of toppings like avocado and harissa, or spiced lamb and pine nuts. All are served with hearth-baked pita, chopped salad and Israeli pickles. Sip a frozen mint lemonade like they do in Israel for the full experience. Shakshuka, spicy baked eggs, is a Sunday special.
