GLAMSLAM

Kudos to Todd Erickson for supporting a vegan lifestyle. The chef behind South Beachs Haven and Huahaus Taqueria partnered with vegan and animal advocate Janette Miller for GLAM Vegan Miami on the mainland. An acronym for Green Living Animals Matter, the restaurant serves tasty, beautiful dishes with a beer and wine list to boot. Veggie lover or not, his flavor combos entice taste buds from the first appan al pastor taco of bbq jackfruit, whose texture absorbs spices like chicken, with pineapple, red cabbage, tomatillo sauce and tofu crema. Soups list gazpacho along with rotating du jour specials, from tortilla to Tuscan white bean. Flatbreads feature toppings like pear, cashew ricotta and walnut pesto. Farro risotto flecked with wild mushrooms and matcha pots de crme finish his plant-forward fantasy.

Considering lululemon changed workout wear foreverleading to an explosion of athleisure as everyday attireits about time womens golf fashions took a cue. Thats where Movtes comes in. A play on the French word for clothing, vetments, and founder and designer Maureen Carrutherss nickname, Mo, the brand modernizes country club garb for the contemporary market. An avid golfer, she recently relocated from Palm Beach to New York to produce her line with a team of seasoned professionals from household brands like Ralph Lauren. The idea is the same as lululemons, in that these pieces are so effortless, polished and chic, they can easily go from the golf course to dinner. Rather than clich colors and prints, she creates exclusive designs with a sporty spin.
