Long-time locals may remember Toff, a South Beach boutique during the aughts. Its Ecuadorian founder Claudio Estrada launched Artesano, an accessories collection that puts her fashion degree from Miami International University of Art & Design to better use. She partnered with Xavier Blum for mens and womens Panama hats and newly added bags handmade in her native country. Pieces are woven with traditional Toquilla straw from the plant-like palm of the same name. The exquisite material is preferred for its comfort and durability. Classic shapes come with custom details, such as the Rumis black cross-pattern stitching and the Urbanos fun fringe in midnight blue or mini-eyelets for ventilation. Besides great designs, the company supports local artisans and their communities through education and empowerment.

MAN-ICURE CAVE
With its dapper demographics, Miami has claimed many male-geared salons and 21st-century barbershops. Hammer & Nails, a Los Angeles-based concept that opens next week in the Shops at Midtown Miami, is the latest newcomer making a go of it. As its name implies, framed hammers decorate the industrial setting, and custom cushy armchairs in studded black leather await for manicures and pedicures. Each nail and hair stationmaster barber Carlos Ferdinand whos a regular in magazines like Esquire oversees the latter along with hot shaveshas a flat-screen television for personal viewing. Founder Michael Elliott thinks guys also deserve pampering in a man cave away from home. He tailored treatments for them, such as the Sports pedicure with tea tree oil and a hot stone massage.
