The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdales special dinner at Burlock Coast, poolside luau and Astor Lounge after-party sold out awhile ago, but there are plenty of other options around town. Billy Joel fans will be front and center when he takes the BB&T stage at 9:30 p.m. for the second NYE in a rowsounds like the start of a tradition. Nis plans a five-course, music-filled dinner complete with a ball-drop countdown. Dishes include salmon and seabass tartare, grilled octopus with Greek salad, and surf-and-turf of Maine lobster and filet mignon. Sushi diehards should dive into Kuros NYE omakase, a decadent array with truffled king crab to a chestnut mousse Mont Blanc for dessert. Down in the Florida Keys? Amara Cay Resort hosts a seated dinner followed by a burlesque show.

Bakehouse Brasserie, the latest concept from Menin Hospitality culinary director Bernie Matz, offers Parisian pastries and all-day breakfast until 5 p.m. Listen to live music and sip bottomless mimosas on New Years Day, while tucking into croissant French toast oozing bananas Foster, and bagel platters with homemade gravlax among the works. Or go straight for the burger, pictured, dubbed the royale with cheese. Francis Mallmann celebrates with a live-fire asado brunch at his Los Fuegos in Faena Hotel. Uplands sunny dcor is ideal for morning meals, such as a melt-in-your-mouth omelet stuffed with Swiss cheese and herbs.

ART ADVENTURE
If you have a houseful of guests to entertain during the holiday week, take them on an art tour. PAMM presents Julio Le Parc: Form into Action, which was one of Art Basels buzzworthy exhibits, through March 19, 2017. Guest curator and Latin American art champion Estrellita Brodsky organized the Argentine artists first retrospective in North America with over 100 works dating from 1958 to 2013. Even better, stop by tonight for Thursdays weekly happy hour on the terrace. The Bass Museum of Art commissioned Ugo Rondinone for Miami Mountain, a 42-foot permanent installation in Collins Park. The column of massive, neon boulders is based on his Seven Magic Mountains work in Nevada. Rubell Family Collections three new shows focus on recent acquisitions, Brazilian artists and Latin American video art.
