While there we hosted the fashion eventSix OClock Teaat the U.S. Embassyin partnership with our affiliates from Argentina: Ginevra Sothebys and Massa Sothebys. Founded in 2003, Six OClock Tea is an exclusive tea and fashion show providing talented national and international designers the opportunity to present their collections.
The elegant event was attended by more than350 guests. While sipping tea and enjoying delicious bites, guests viewed the latest fashions from a number of Argentinian designers including Caro Sosa, Diego Vaz, Natalia Antolin, Hanna by Leila Francese, Maria Vazquez, Claudia Arce, Sylvie Burstin and Charles Calfun, and L.A. baseddesigner Barbara Tfank. The tea party promotes cultural exchange, each year highlightinga prestigious designer known world-wide. This year Barbara Tfank was honored. Her sophisticated designs have been worn by numerous high-profile individuals,including First Lady Michelle Obama.
The U.S. Ambassador to Argentina, Noah Mamet, opened the doors of the embassy specifically for this year'sSix O' Clock Tea. The eventwas organized as a benefit for"Friends of Fulbright", a student exchange program offering Argentinean university students a unique opportunityto study in the U.S. for a short period of time. A resounding success, attendees saw beautiful designs and were able to learn about some of South Florida's most exclusive listings. ONE SIR enjoyedworking with our Argentinean affiliates to put on this incredible event.
