One Thousand Museum's 24-Hour Concrete Pour

  • Posted

On Friday, August 21, One Thousand Museum held a 24-hour concrete pour with approximately 900 truckloads pouring 9,500 cubic yards of concrete. This was a major milestone for the construction of the project and completed the foundation work that began eight months ago. It also signals the beginning of vertical construction on the 62-story building.

The concrete pour kicked off with a Friday night party, and more than 400 guests gathered to witness the event. Guests enjoyed a live DJ while sipping on cocktails and enjoying a Cuban buffet. Many even posed next to the concrete trucks bearing the One Thousand Museum logo, and it was also broadcast on Periscope for those that could not attend.

Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Zaha Hadid, One ThousandMuseum will feature 83 exclusive units in Miamis Museum Park neighborhood: half-floor, full-floor and duplex residences. Every residence at One Thousand Museum faces Biscayne Bay, offering residents expansive breathtaking views of both the water and Museum Park. To see more photos of the event visit our Facebook page.
