Community responsibility is a term that comes up frequently when chatting with June Savage. Whether in community theater pursuits, her recurring column for the Pinecrest Tribune, or advocating for the South Florida cycling community; ONE agent June Savage is committed to making her surroundings a better place. The Miami local has been a licensed agent for over 10 years but finds satisfaction in her extracurricular passion projects as much as her dedication to strong professional performance. Her major efforts in the past couple of years has been as a member of the Miami-Dade Bicycle Pedestrian Advocacy Committee (BPAC) which works collaboratively with FDOT.

Her mission was inspired by the facts. Cycling in South Florida is growing as our density is increasing across the city. As Miamis clout as an urban center of business rises, neighbors must come to some agreement about sharing the roads. June supports organizations like CitiBank who has supported Citi Bike rentals which are now available across every major community.

Shes also an advocate for Critical Mass. In fact, she saved Miamis chapter of the national movement from cancellation by negotiating police protection with the Miami Police Chief. This successful negotiation benefitted over 3,000 participants and protected the rights of those who want to join the nations third largest Critical Mass group. Her relationships with city leaders, born during her participation in the Miss Miami pageant, help her gain access to opportunities where she can impact city policy at a high level.

June is an example of a ONE Sothebys agent who leverages strong negotiation skills (English AND Spanish!) in and out of the workplace. She admits that she rides about 80-150 miles per week, even biking to and from showings and listing appointments. She enjoys taking in the scenic communities, stressing that being on a bike facilitates stronger neighbor ties and an understanding of the real estate opportunities around you. Make sure you watch her February 1st NBC 6 interview with Commissioner Suarez led by host Jackie Nespral. June discusses our citys rapid growth and ways we can accept each other as different forms of transportation become essential. Video here.
