Sothebys International Realtys annual conference, the Global Networking Event (GNE), returned to Miami Beach this year and was hosted at the Fontainebleau Hotel. More than 1,500 of the companys top brokers and agents from 27 countries attended the 3-day conference that included a busy schedule of networking events, dinners, and informative sessions by industry experts. Close to 200 ONE Sothebys International Realty agents attended the GNE and represented South Floridas incredible real estate opportunities to colleagues from around the world.
To kick off the GNE, ONE Sothebys hosted a private cocktail event for more than 200 affiliate brokers at the Brickell City Centre Sales Gallery. Guests enjoyed bites and cocktails and had the opportunity to see the immense scale model of the project. ONEs CEO and Founder Mayi de la Vega gave a warm welcome, which was followed by Swire Properties executive Maile Aguilar.
Guests also had the opportunity to hear a presentation by Swire President Stephen Owens, who gave insight on the project and how it will soon change Miamis urban landscape. Following the welcome speeches guests moved to the 10th floor where they got to see a model unit and dance the night away to live music.The Brickell City Centre event was followed the next day by a special brunch at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach. The brunch was also attended by affiliate brokers who enjoyed breakfast bites and refreshments while scoping out the incredible sales center and breathtaking waterfront views from the development site.

In his discussion, he spoke about the power of the Sothebys brand around the world and its recent accomplishments that include $60 Billion in real estate sales worldwide in 2013. Keynote speaker and Miami Heat President Pat Riley spoke later in the afternoon and spotlighted the importance of pushing yourself to the limit and highlighted Miamis wonderful lifestyle. The conference continued through Wednesday with panel discussions that included a number of ONE Sothebys staff talking about the local real estate market and the firms marketing initiatives.



The GNE concluded on Wednesday, Sept. 8th with a beautiful gala dinner in one of the Fontainebleaus main ballrooms, with closing remarks from Sothebys International Realtys top executives. ONE Sothebys agents took maximum advantage of the three day conference by networking and sharing their experiences with other realtors as well as sharing information about our exclusive developments, market information and much more.
