Bellini Bound

In jet-set Miami, it was bound to happen that Cipriani would open a branch of its glamorous empire founded with Harry's Bar in Venice circa 1931. Tomorrow patriarch Giuseppe Cipriani's great-grandsons unveil Cipriani Downtown Miami at Icon Brickell, an ideal location among the family's fleet already spanning Monte Carlo to Moscow to the Middle East. Making the most of its two-story, waterfront address, Florentine architect Michele Bonan looked no further than the mega yachts parked on the Miami River for inspiration. There's enough room for 400-plus patrons to while away the hours sipping all those famous Bellini recipes and snacking on modern Asian cold and hot apps, as well as Italian fare such as vitello tonnato and risotto.

Precious Moment

South Floridians are clearly obsessed with fine jewelry and watches. This week brings yet another flurry of activity. At Bal Harbour Shops alone, Audemars Piguet relocated next to Chanel with two distinct sections: the Manufacture for all things watch related from its history to 100 timepieces, and the House, a full service lounge decorated with famous portraits like brand ambassador LeBron James. On the center's opposite end near Saks, de Grisogono opened its first Florida and third U.S. boutique. Since founding the jewelry house in Florence 20 years ago, creative director Fawaz Gruosi has become legendary for unconventional precious stones, as in made once overlooked black diamonds all the rage.

Mother of all Spas

Spoil mom with more than a traditional spa day. This month the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort introduces a wellness program linking its gorgeous Remede Spa and fitness center. Book her an over the top treatment like the Bal Harbour body wrap, 90 minutes of exfoliation and masks with sea salts and Hungarian Moor mud, plus scalp and body massages. Using the same mud, the 24-Karat Designer Facial also incorporates 10 other age-defying remedies such as Omorovicza's Gold Flash Firming Serum, Gold Sugar Scrub and Gold Shimmer Oil. She can take an exclusive exercise class on the beach with house trainers Tracie and Chris Vlaun, and refuel with a healthy lunch and cold-pressed juice developed by the onsite nutritionist.

Two P'S in a Pod

A couple of mainland mainstays are hitting the beach. Pinkberry, the Los Angeles-based brand that created the tart fro-yo frenzy, expands with an outpost on Ocean Drive next to the Thompson Hotel Victor. As of tomorrow morning, fans can start spooning its original flavor along with an everchanging rotation of seasonal (grapefruit, mango, cookies and cream) and favorites reissued from the vault including inaugural green tea. Waist watchers can partake, too, through all-natural, nonfat Greek yogurt with 80 calories that recently debuted. Miami Beach locals and tourists no longer have to drive to Wynwood for their caffeine cravings either. Panther Coffee unveils its second location in Sunset Harbour soon. Expect the same menu and in-depth cuppings a.k.a. tastings of small-grower bean batches.
