The One Sothebys Guide to Arts latest App ArtCapture

The event kicks off on Friday March 2nd and will run through Monday March 5th at the Miami Beach Convention Center. We hope to see you all there and wanted to make sure you were in the know on the latest iPhone App from the art world, ArtCapture.

ArtCapture helps users document and discover information about their favorite art pieces. Whether at an art gallery, an art fair, a museum, or even on the street - just snap an image of the art piece, add your notes and ArtCapture will store it for you. Art lovers can also be social with the art they like and can share their images with friends on Facebook or Twitter. The app recognizes over 500,000 works of art automatically and gives instant information about the artwork, the artist and the gallery. ArtCapture also comes with a Collectrium web account where users can manage their own art collection, and then access it instantly on their iPhones. Art Capture is a wonderful tool that will help you navigate and explore the works that will be on display at Arteamericas.

Heres how to use it:

  • Search ArtCapture in your app market.
  • Download the application on your iPhone before attending Arteamericas.
  • On the home screen, click All and scroll down to download the Arteamericas catalogue before attending Arteamericas.
  • You now have access to the database of pieces that you will find at Arteamericas directly on your iPhone!
  • When you are at the event click on the ArtCapture button to take new pictures to pull up the arts information or Scan the QR code that you will find on the pieces within the fair.
