Beyond warmer weather and blooming landscapes, Northeast Florida is experiencing a dynamic renewal across its waterfronts, cultural spaces, and hospitality destinations. Our April guide highlights some of the region’s most exciting transformations. From all of us, we wish you a Happy Easter and Passover.
Riverfront Renaissance
Experience the Jacksonville riverfront’s remarkable revival. The Southbank Riverwalk’s new RiversEdge now connects a series of thoughtfully designed green spaces, including Central Park with its waterfront views, running loop, and seating; Heartbeat Park with swings, turf, and public art; Healing Gardens Park with native plantings; the Marsh Boardwalk; and the Gym, featuring playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment.
Downtown’s Riverfront Plaza Phase 1 has enhanced the Riverwalk while introducing a new event lawn and playground. The upcoming Music Heritage Garden will soon open alongside the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts, further enriching the area’s cultural landscape.
