Welcome to The Scoops first of two editions for Miami art week. The art-filled extravaganza, which commences on November 29 this year, marks the unofficial start to peak season here in South Florida. Its main fair Art Basel Miami Beach ushered in a new era for our region when it debuted in 2002. Throughout the years, several satellite fairs, luxury brands of all types, and art galleries outside the area have joined the annual pilgrimage that attracts art dealers, collectors, curators and enthusiastic crowds from around the world. Heres a start for where to go and what to see during this wonderful week.

Art Basel Miami Beach

Art Basel Miami Beachs in-person fair returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center with invitation-only previews from November 30-December 1, and public days from December 2-4. Among 253 international galleries, nearly 45 are making their debut here. Mexico Citys Museo Tamayo director curates the Meridians sectors large-scale projects, while dealer and author Edward Winkleman curates Conversations. artbasel.com
