Its been a hectic season, so you may not have had a chance to try the many great new restaurants. Heres a closer look at some of these culinary newcomers, when it also happens to be the week of the 20th annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival. This years abridged edition moves from its usual February dates to May 20-23. Whether attending this foodie fundraiser or trying a new restaurant, theres something for everyone who loves to eat.

Sushi Garage

Juvia restaurant had an instant hit when it expanded to Sunset Harbour with Sushi Garage. The gorgeous setting and happiest happy hour attracted patrons as much as the Japanese cuisine. A second branch opened on Fort Lauderdales Las Olas Boulevard for custom sushi platters, pretty cocktails and matcha mille crpe cake. sushigarage.com

Beacon

Named for Jupiter Inlets iconic lighthouse, Beacon brings an upscale, dinner-only destination to Charlie & Joes at Love Street. Chefs table seating surrounds three sides of the stunning open kitchen to observe these talented toques at work. The eclectic American menu covers crudo to Allen Brothers chops to lobster bucatini cacio e pepe. thebeaconjupiter.com

Stringers Tavern & Oyster Bar

Stringers Tavern & Oyster Bar creates the illusion of boarding a ship, since the Stuart eatery pays tribute to the areas lengthy boatbuilding heritage. Clever themed dcor encompasses yacht-inspired wood interiors and a raw bar station commissioned from Bonadeo Boatworks that mimics a glossy boat transom. Gallery-like displays share local maritime history. stringerstavern.com

The Oasis

The Oasis, a hybrid food courtyard and performance venue in Wynwood, made The New York Times for its colorful shipping containers. The 35,000-square-foot, al fresco concept features several dining options including outposts of Miamis Mr. Mandolin and New Yorks Prince Street Pizza and Alidoro sandwich shop. Sip cocktails at its Tower Bar, too. oasiswynwood.com

Swank Farmhouse

Rather than a traditional restaurant, how about a three-course BYOB feast on a farm? Swank Specialty Produce is hosting cooking demonstrations followed by dinner at its new Swank Farmhouse culinary kitchen. Each of chef Dean James Maxs 12 intimate dinners from June 2-25 stars a farm ingredient such as heirloom carrots or eggplant. swankspecialtyproduce.com
