Rubell Relocates

After Basel, everyone will not only know where Allapattah is located on the mainland but how to pronounce it. The emerging industrial neighborhood is the new home of the Rubell Museum, a supersized version of the former Rubell Family Collection in Wynwood. Art collectors Don and Mera Rubell tapped architect Annabelle Selldorf to design their 100,000-square-foot dream space kitty-corner to the hip Hometown Barbecue.

Marine Music

Considering Basels proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, what better place and time to present an immersive sound installation titled, The Art of Listening: Under Water? Audemars Piguet commissioned Norwegian artist Jana Winderen for the site-specific, public artwork in the Collins Park Rotunda. Recorded sounds of marine life in several bodies of water around the world champion animal rights. Visit December 4-8.
