ONE Sotheby's International Realty agent Patrick Vysata visited our Sotheby's International Realty affiliate in Prague during a trip to the city. On his stay, Patrick Vysata connected with the brokers from the Prague office, discussing projects in both their city and ours, taking a tour and going to lunch.
"Since I am Czech, it was nice to hear how well the city is doing now. This is an important year as it is the 100th anniversary of the forming of Czechoslovakia. The media all over the world is pushing Prague as one of the most exciting cities to visit, invest in, and is considered one of the safest cities now as well," said Patrick.
Known as the City of a Hundred Spires, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's most beautiful cities, history is not all that the city of Prague has to offer. Prague is a truly cosmopolitan and booming metropolis, exploding with a strong economy and very high real estate prices due to a shortage of inventory. The rental prices are high, and buyers are flocking there as they make money and ride the appreciation of the units and there are no property taxes. Outside the capital, majestic castles and palaces abound, serene farmhouses in vineyards and cozy chalets in mountain resorts, to meet the expectations of any buyer's lifestyle.
The new generation of buyers is primarily made of high net worth individuals, including dot com millionaires. The city is also filled with amazing artists, some of whom attended Art Basel Miami in 2017. The art scene is very well connected to individuals in Dubai, Asia, London, NY, who are buying their art. Every aspect of Prague's luxury lifestyle isbeing put under an even brighter global spotlight, and we're proud to be affiliated with the incredible Czech Republic real estate team.
