DWELLING IN SOUTH BEACH WITH REID HEIDENRY

A MIAMI REAL ESTATE ADVISOR A DEDICATED PROFESSIONAL A ONE SOTHEBY'S REALTY ASSOCIATE

ONE THING THAT MAKES YOU LOVE SOUTH BEACH

South Beach is part of a Caribbean barrier island in the US but its full of Europeans, South Americans and people from all over the world. This eclectic combination makes it my favorite.

AN EVENT OR PLACE MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT

Blue Ribbon Sushi in the Plymouth Hotel is one of my favorite secret spots. It's tucked away, so a lot of people still don't know how good it is.

ALOCAL EVENT NOT TO BE MISSED

Model Volleyball is an annual event on 8th and Ocean. It's two days when all the modeling agencies compete in a volleyball tournament with a lot of local sponsors and a concert.

YOUR VERY OWN HAPPY PLACE

The Standard. I walk in the front door and I'm on vacation. It's everything I love about Miami: a chill vibe, the stunning pool overlooking the bay, an outdoor bar and great people.

BEST RESTAURANT IN SOUTH BEACH

My go-to restaurant on South Beach is Lucali. Aside from having the best pizza in the universe, it's become the neighborhood Cheers bar, where you can always see a familiar face.

BEST MENU ITEMS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Last meal: Snow Crab Roll at Pubbelly Sushi, Pizza at Lucali, Green Curry at Naiyara, Torched Salmon Roll at Tanuki, Fried Chicken at Blue Ribbon Sushi and the salad from Macalusos.

WHAT MAKES THIS NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIAL

We are a tiny part of a barrier island in a world-class city. South Beach feels as small as your high school, but it's so jam-packed with such an incredibly diverse and talented group of people.

A GREAT OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE

One of my recent rituals is a sunrise walk I start from my home on Bay Road, down West Avenue, the marina, South Pointe Park, up the beach and finish by walking on Lincoln Road.

THE SOURCE OF YOUR PASSION FOR REAL ESTATE

I grew up in St. Louis and my father was in Real Estate. He would buy homes and buildings in historic neighborhoods that were basically forgotten about. He and a few friends really transformed entire neighborhoods and I always thought it was such a good way to live your life: take something broken and make it better.
