There are plenty, but I would pick Ironside Pizza. Two Italian brothers opened a pizzeria in this industrial, rehabilitated warehouse and make delicious, authentic Italian pizza.
AGREAT OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE
Most of the neighborhood is easily walkable with lots of shade from the lush foliage, so you can enjoy the outdoors year-round and leave your car at home quite often.
YOUR VERY OWN HAPPY PLACE
I am tempted to say my home, as I live in a beautiful 1940s house. Other than that, my happy place is Marky's, where I can find many imported French cheeses and wines.
BEST RESTAURANT IN THEUPPER EAST SIDE
My favorite restaurant is Vagabond Kitchen for its beautiful, mid-century design and the way they blend European and American favorites.
BEST FOOD/COCKTAIL MENU ITEMS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
As for food, the quiche lorraine from Buena Vista Deli is to die for. My favorite cocktail is the white sangria at Mandolin, the best greek restaurant in Miami.
WHAT MAKES THIS NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIAL
The Upper East Side is safe and quiet but, at the same time, you have so many amazing restaurants, shops, cafes and places to discover. It is developing its own character.
A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN TRULY DISCONNECT
On Saturdays, I like to walk to the farmers market at the Legion Memorial Park and sit on a bench facing the bay, listening to the leaves crackling with the breeze.
