The Asian Real Estate Association of America celebrated its 2017 Global Luxury Summit last Friday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. The event was the largest Asian real estate showcase in Miami and brought together important real estate personalities, including One Sothebys President, Daniel de la Vega and Summit co-chair and closing speaker Charlie Young.
The event brought about 1,000 real estate professionals from 35 chapters around the country and covered topics such as international investment, emerging markets, working with international clients and executing cross-border transactions.
An important highlight of the event was the presentation of the book Chinese Institutions Definitive Guide to USA Commercial Real Estate Co-Authored by Ben Briggs of Briggs Freeman Sothebys International Realty, along with other Sothebys Realty affiliates. The book includes achapter on South Florida real estate written by ONE Sotheby's President Daniel de la Vega, based on his expertise managing a property portfolio totaling $5 billion-plus in both new, luxury condo developments and listing inventory. 
The book writing effort was led by Ben Briggs, Executive Vice President of International Business forBriggs Freeman Sothebys International Realty, who has lived in China for over 10 years and who mentioned, during the event, that "the book is a collaborative effort to help serve Asian clients and make the US real estate market even more approachable withSotheby's International Realty's white glove service."
