Brickell City Centre Opens Retail Component to Public

Brickell City Centre has officially opened its retail component, anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue, to the public. The project hosted a series of events to introduce itself to the community.

In a private event held the night before the official opening to the public, Brickell City Centre hostedan energized party with live music, including a performance by Pitbull. Costumed performers mingled and entertained the VIP guests as they explored the project.

Brickell City Centre officially opened its doors November 3 at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony officiated by city officials, dignitaries, Swire Properties and Saks Fifth Avenue executives. Attendees were treated to speeches from Saks president Marc Metrick, Stephen Owens from Swire Properties and Mayor Carlos Gimenez tocommemorate the final piece of the Brickell City Centre puzzle, which encompasses 4.9 million square feet of live, shop, work, eat and play space for locals and tourists to enjoy.The kickoff isfollowed by a larger rollout of events that will welcome the majority of retailers opening their doors throughout the next few weeks. Approximately 20 percent of retailers are using Brickell City Centre as the venue to enter the South Florida market, including Saks Fifth Avenue's first new store in the area in 30 years.

Brickell City Centre is now open to the public with various luxury retail stores, fine dining restaurants and entertainment. The project also includes a hotel, office and residential spaces.
