Once again, a fashion brand makes its Florida debut in Miami. Kiwi designer Rebecca Taylor opened a namesake, blush pink and nude-colored boutique, her ninth total, at Aventura Mall. Specializing in womens contemporary clothing, she also uses the occasion to introduce Floridians to La Vie, her new casual collection of tees, cozy pea coats, and vintage-inspired patchwork denim pieces. Fans can shop exclusive products and limited-edition collaborations, too, at the 1,400-square-foot location whose custom terrazzo tiles shimmer with metallic flecks. Theyre just some of the design details that capture her ethos of everyday magic. Other glam touches are velvet and sheepskin throws and tabletops cut from slabs of crystallized rock salt and terrazzo. James Porschens citron artworks are also displayed.

PINK PROCEEDS
Fashion followers are used to hearing about which trendy color is the new black by now, but what about pink being the new blue? Heres a hint: Its all in the name of breast cancer awareness and research. For its eighth annual Bleau Goes Pink campaign, the Fontainebleau is handing out some pretty sweet dining dealsincluding the raspberry macaron pictured here from Chez Bon Bonto benefit Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at UMs Miller School of Medicine. Simply order $55 prix-fixe dinners at StripSteak by Michael Mina and Scarpetta throughout October to raise funds for the regions leading center for breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care. Dishes range from Scarpettas truffled polenta and Long Island duck to Minas Scottish salmon. Each meal comes with a glass of ros.

RIGHT SHIFT
Speaking of health, long-time wellness promoter and jugofresh founder Matthew Sherman expanded with a full-service restaurant in his original juice bars neighborhood. Whereas jugofresh focuses on vegan ingredients, Paradigm Kitchen offers a broader menu to appeal to gluten-free and paleo eaters. The latter, who favor animal proteins, grains and produce, and shun refined sugars and dairy, now have poke bowls, free-range chicken broth, and chicken sausage made in house. Pancake lovers can have them for breakfast with whipped cashew butter, maple syrup and pineapple compote or lunch as Indian dosas. Items with witty names include Miso Fierce, a Japanese-inspired egg and miso bone broth combo speckled with greens and brown rice. No wonder one of the places slogans is Shift Happens. Note odd hours until it really gets going.

GO FIGURE
Italian artist Francesco Clemente plans to attend the reception for his exhibit at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. Franceso Clemente: Dormiveglia features a series of nine large-scale works painted in New York in 1998. The title references the Italian term for the state between sleep and awakening when dreams and reality intertwine. Reminiscent of tarot cards, one of his hobbies, canvases depict pastel-painted goddesses in draped attire. Each unique figure presents different human and animal characteristics. Grouped among figurative painters such as Julian Schnabel and Eric Fischl, Clemente further identifies with Italys Art Povera movement. On view through August 23, 2017, the show also displays watercolors and works on paper. The preview is free to museum members and $25 for non-members who RSVP to 954.262.0258.
