To experience his expertise, merely peer through the restaurants window where he hand-rolls pasta, such as tagliatelle for a cream sauce with sausage and mushrooms, and tortellini stuffed with minced pork, beef, mortadella, prosciutto and parmesan cheese. Lucky Charm
Tanuki, one of Moscows largest restaurant chains, chose Miamis South Beach over Russian-filled Sunny Isles for its U.S. foray. The 100-seat location serves flavorful Pan-Asian fare, with a quarter of its 150-item menu dedicated to sushi. Its truly all over the place, from Mexican elote to wagyu chipotle tacos, to nashi pear, kohlrabi and goat cheese salad. Peking duck is used in several ways: soup, soba, fried rice and a salad with pomegranate seeds and pine nuts. A summer roll features king crab, while a crispy shrimp roll is inspired by Thai tom yum soup. The daily catch comes whole pan-seared, steamed or deep-fried like tempura. Designed by Andrey Zigankovs Studio Nograph, the reclaimed barn wood interior centers on a 7-foot tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog) statue as a jovial talisman.
