Kory describes her beginning as being “chosen and blessed” to come into an entrepreneurial and real estate family. She credits her parents with helping her develop her tenacious work ethic. She grew up watching them run and manage businesses and restaurants they owned and she and her three siblings were taught at a very young age the value of work and having pride in it. Born and raised in southwestern Ohio, Kory embodies the quintessential hospitable personality for which Midwesterners are renowned. She loves and values people. It shows in her incredibly long-standing relationships, her large sphere of connections and her loyal friends and customers. As a young mother in 1994 Kory moved to Spruce Creek Fly-In, Port Orange, Florida to avoid the harsh Ohio winters. Her two children were brought up in an aviation family, but surprisingly neither pursued flying as a career. Instead, her son attended the University of Florida where he was an E-Sports Analyst and Coach for the UF Gaming Team, sold life, property and casualty insurance with O’Quinn Allstate office in Palm Coast; which was very helpful to Kory and her clients. He now currently resides in Los Angeles and is Director of Sales at Monarch, VAR for Verkada. Kory’s daughter earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and a law degree at the University of Georgia and is an Associate at Alston & Bird in Atlanta specializing in Intellectual Property Litigation. Kory’s proverbial “third child” is her business, Looks to Sell, the area’s first home staging company. While leading both a real estate and staging business can be challenging at times, it is more often immensely rewarding since each complements the other. Since obtaining her real estate license in 2000 and becoming an Accredited Stager in 2006, Kory and her team have staged and sold millions of dollars of properties for the highest amount the market could support. They have the skills and talent to make any home a masterpiece which helps Sellers achieve optimal value for their home in the most expedient manner. When not running her businesses, Kory loves to play tennis and golf at the Hammock Beach Club and participate in th Yacht Harbor Village Social Committee. She attends Salty Church and has volunteered in the nursery and providing whatever support she can for Salty Family Services in Ormond. Her biggest strength is in her love of people and connecting them to resources needed and community.
