Catarina moved to the United States in 2001 with her husband, Flavio, a pediatric dentist. Shortly thereafter, she pursued advanced studies at Harvard University, earning a post-graduate degree in Strategic Management. Inspired by her family’s entrepreneurial legacy, she began her professional career at Bank Boston/Fleet Bank, where she developed deep expertise in personal and mortgage lending—igniting her passion for real estate and financial strategy. While her husband served as a professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Catarina continued her academic journey, earning a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Florida with the highest honors. She also achieved top distinction in the prestigious Capstone Project—a real-world development challenge judged by leading commercial developers throughout Florida. After rigorous research, financial modeling, and defense, her team’s concept was chosen as the winning development plan—now confirmed as the Reynolds Park project in Jacksonville. Upon completing her studies, Catarina joined Florida Capital Bank in commercial and personal lending before transitioning fully into real estate. In 2010, she and her family proudly chose Jacksonville as their permanent home. Her husband joined Setzer, Cochran & Soares Pediatric Dentistry, while Catarina began building a real estate practice grounded in integrity, expertise, and genuine community engagement. Catarina’s approach blends strong analytical expertise and exceptional organization with a warm, client-centered experience. Her background in finance and development, paired with a refined eye for design, staging, and lifestyle marketing, allows her to deliver a concierge-level advisory tailored to each client. Known for her strategic mindset, professionalism, and vibrant personality, she offers trusted guidance, thoughtful insights, and a positive, detail-driven commitment to helping clients achieve outstanding results. Beyond real estate, Catarina and her family are deeply involved in the Jacksonville community. She enjoys tennis, boating, cheering for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Florida Gators, spending time at the beach, and supporting her children in their basketball, dance, football, and flag football activities.
