Football + Fashion

This weekend’s Super Bowl is also bringing the Super Bowl of shopping. There are so many fashion pop ups and parties, who will have time for sports? Stores from Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour to LeBron James’s UNKNWN to Faena Bazaar Curio are planning special products, fitness classes, and champagne and beauty lounges. Cashmere collection Leret Leret pops up in Wynwood, too.

Role Models

Off the Field’s 19th annual Players’ Wives Fashion Show, one of the week’s biggest benefits, happens in the Miami Design District’s Palm Court on January 31. NFL players’ significant others will model looks from dozens of neighborhood brands like Tighemi. All proceeds fund Michelle Obama’s education initiative Reach Higher.

Rao’s Run

Rao’s, one of the toughest tables to score in New York, is setting up a temporary offshoot at W South Beach from January 29 to February 1. Dino Gatto, the East Harlem celebrity hangout’s executive chef, plans a menu of classic Italian-American fare that begat Rao’s line of popular food products. One hopes it will be such a success, the family decides to open here for good.
