ONE Sotheby’s International Realty partnered with The National Football League Players Association to host a two-day event for NFL players to get involved in real estate. We welcomed Fozzy Whitaker, Adam Bisnowaty, Knile Davis, Kendrick Norton, Dwayne Allen and Tony Adams to participate in an immersive experience with our agents. The days were packed with sessions on buying, selling and investing in South Florida real estate, and some special local Miami treats.
To kick off the event, the developers of Okan Tower Miami hosted a welcome dinner for the players to discuss the state of the market in the Downtown Miami area. The next morning, players were greeted and served an early breakfast followed by a session on the world of commercial real estate, held by our president, Daniel De La Vega, and Miami mayor Francis Suarez. Afterward, the players were taken on a tour of One Thousand Museum with the developer, Louis Birdman. One Thousand Museum is currently under construction in Downtown Miami, but the players were able to get a look at the incredible views and unique architecture that make the building a standout project in Miami. The day finished with fresh seafood for dinner at Garcia’s Seafood Grille, a local institution.
On Day 2 the players got a glimpse of the ONE SIR Sports & Entertainment division from agent Kimberly Knausz, followed by an overview of residential real estate. Then, with the help of our COO Michael Koval, they learned about the beneficial ties of real estate and technology – an area the ONE SIR is a leader in. For lunch participants enjoyed Cuban cuisine at the iconic Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana, where they discussed what they were learning over a delicious meal. The next stop was a tour of the mega-mansion 30 Palm Ave. in Miami Beach from the Waterfront Team. After the tour of the property, the group went to Wynwood to check out the sights.
Our event came to an end the next day with a celebratory round of golf at the Riveria Country Club. We enjoyed sharing our expertise with these NFL players and wish them success in their future real estate endeavors!
