Teddy Treat

The Cooper is switching its usual craft cocktails for a kid-friendly fantasyland and toy drive on December 14. The annual Teddy Bear Brunch promises characters, music and food. Traditional breakfast items will be served alongside special stations for popcorn, cupcakes and candy. Children 12 and younger receive souvenir teddy bears. Wear your holiday finery.

Sparkling Strolls

Vero Beach makes it easy to savor the season. Its famed McKee Botanical Garden hosts Holiday Nights of Lights from December 13-22 and December 27-29 from 6-8 p.m. Sample treats, tour the holiday village and be dazzled by the LED wonderland. On December 14 from 12-4 p.m., do some holiday shopping while supporting local charities at Vero Design District’s inaugural Holiday Stroll.

Surfin’ Season

There are so many stunning holiday trees throughout South Florida, but Royal Poinciana Plaza’s entry stands out for its artist collaboration and surfboard theme. Every year, the luxury retail center taps a major international artist to decorate its sky-high tree. Gray Malin, a fine art photographer known for large-scale, aerial beach scenes, combined 52 surfboards and his iconic images.
