The Scoop: Palm Beach & Stuart | Weekend of November 21st

Georgia On My Mind

The Norton Museum of Art is the final stop for the nationwide blockbuster tour of “Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern.” Beyond her premier paintings, the exhibit studies the icon’s legendary life up close by including her clothing, photographic portraits and other personal possessions. It opens on November 22 with a talk about how she crafted her image.

Hot Plates

Though the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival isn’t until December 12-15, its events, especially coveted dinners by out-of-town chefs, sell out quickly. There are also several new options like “A Dinner at Florie’s” at Four Seasons, the festival’s headquarters, and “Porch BBQ” hosted by New Orleans restaurateur Stephen Stryjewski of Cochon and Peche.

Save Our Seas

The Stuart-based restaurant group behind the Twisted Tuna launched a new dining concept to mitigate an invasive marine species in Florida waters. Lionfish appears all over the menu at its brand-new FireFin Grill in Palm Beach Gardens. Order the tasty delicacy as sushi rolls, ceviche, fish fingers, grilled tacos or blackened entrée with Asian veggies.

Let There Be Light

The Loxahatchee River Historical Society and local businesses like Pelican Club are partnering for Rendezvous at the Light on November 23. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum’s biggest benefit also funds its School Bus Transportation program. Come eat, drink and be merry under the lighthouse’s romantic glow and experience why it’s such a treasured landmark.
