Mendín On the Move

Fort Lauderdale foodies will no longer have to drive south for Pubbelly chef partner José Mendín’s tasty cuisine. His Food Comma Group launches its first Broward restaurant next month. Rivertail will focus on “comfort seafood” such as lobster flautas and crab doughnuts as well as a traditional marine menu.

Tune In

FeCuOp, a pioneering artist collaborative in Miami long before Art Basel came to town, returns for an interactive, performative exhibit at Locust Projects through October 12. Titled “Antenna,” it marks their first reunion since 2003. The site-specific auditory work centers on a massive radio antenna, while viewers also hear whispers.

Shop & Support

Tennessee lifestyle brand Altar’d State brought its Southern hospitality to South Florida. More than discovering adorable women’s fashions and home décor, customers support charities when they shop its new stores here including Fort Lauderdale’s Galleria Mall. In addition to ongoing donations, the company gives 10 percent of sales on Mondays to local charities.
