ONE Sotheby’s Agents Visit Argentina to Showcase Miami’s Best Properties

ONE Sotheby’s Agents Raymond Bolduc and Miriam Poggio visited Argentina to showcase the best South Florida properties to local brokers and real estate investors. They shared information and materials on our latest condo developments that include Cielo on the Bay and Altos del Mar as well as exquisite waterfront estates and penthouses.

Latin Americans, including Argentines, Brazilians and Venezuelans have helped the rebound of the South Florida real estate market by purchasing second and third homes for investment purposes. At ONE Sotheby’s one of our main marketing initiatives is interacting with these investors to show them the opportunities in the area and get them interested in what South Florida has to offer.

Our agents have more international trips in the coming months, stay tuned!

Earlier this month, ONE | Sotheby’s associates crossed the Atlantic to represent the firm at a London gathering of affiliates from New York, Thailand, Barbados, Spain, Switzerland, Naples, France and the Bahamas.  On the first evening, all met for a private dinner at the Berkley Hotel.

An all-day event followed at the Millenium Hotel, where Miami’s associates exhibited their properties and spoke with British clients interested in overseas homes.  More than ten reporters covered the event, including writers from the Financial Times and Sun Times.

The ONE | Sotheby’s world tour continues this year, with additional trips to represent the firm in Hong Kong, Canada, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and nationally in New York.  The first trip this year found ONE | Sotheby’s in Brazil.  A second international outreach event took place in Moscow.

The South Florida affiliate is part of a global network — more than 10,900 sales associates throughout 500 offices in 42 countries and territories worldwide are part of Sotheby’s International Realty.

In April, ONE | Sotheby’s traveled to Moscow to meet agents and clients in the Russian city as part of its continuing international outreach.

Local Moscow affiliates held an elegant affair at the State Historical Museum on Red Square adjacent to the Kremlin, where just a few days prior, Sotheby’s house had exhibited Russian paintings from its London collection that will go to auction later this year.

Surrounded by permanent collections in Russia’s most important museum, agents from South Florida, Colorado, Italy, Turkey, Czechoslovakia and Barcelona gathered for a cocktail reception to network and meet prospective clients.

While real estate was the focus of the event, the subject of art came to the fore with a round-table discussion. Two Russian artists, Dmitry Gutov and Anatoly Osmolovsky, led a debate entitled “What’s More Important? Art or Money?” over Paul Cezanne’s The Card Players, which sold for $250 million dollars in 2011 — the most expensive price tag to date on any work of art.

ONE | Sotheby’s Heads to Brazil for Miami Week

Since 2011, ONE | Sotheby’s has been taking the show on the road for a series of ambassadorial trips around the world. “Miami Week” showcases South Florida’s best properties to prospective buyers and affiliate agents. With so many Hispanic countries focused on Miami as a gateway to the Americas, it’s no wonder a Miami-based luxury real estate firm has spread its toes beyond South Florida’s sunny shores.

This month, agent Daniel de la Vega, as well as representatives from Bellini Williams Island, have headed to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

De La Vega and the others are presenting Bellini and other ONE | Sotheby’s projects to brokerage firms and various clients. There’s also networking with agents and potential buyers in this unique international outreach.

Last year, ONE | Sotheby’s also alighted upon other continental neighbors: Venezuela; Mexico City, Mexico; Buenos Aires and Lima, Peru.

But it’s not just South and Central Americans who have a keen eye set on Miami real estate.

In 2011, ONE | Sotheby’s Miami Week tours included Montreal and Toronto in Canada, as well as Hong Kong. This year, Milan, Italy, gets a personal handshake, too.

While De La Vega and the rest of the team work in Brazil, ONE | Sotheby’s is coordinating additional trips for 2012 to represent the firm in London, Hong Kong, Canada, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and even nationally in New York.

In a statement, ONE | Sotheby’s founder and owner Mayi de La Vega discusses the importance of international outreach. “Working together with our international affiliates is extremely imperative,” she says. “It builds brand recognition and ensures that our global network will be able to provide the perfect home for the perfect buyer.”

And it’s definitely a global network — more than 10,900 sales associates throughout 500 offices in 42 countries and territories worldwide are part of Sotheby’s International Realty.
