The Scoop: Miami Mice

Though the Cheese Course’s South Miami store debuted January, it finally took last month’s grand opening and the Pinecrest mayor’s showing up for most residents to realize its delicious presence. A selection of more than 200 varieties ranges from perennial favorite manchego to not so known Ossau-iraty, a mild, semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese from France. Customize cocktail party spreads including five types of charcuterie like truffle pate and saucisson sec, plus olives, cornichons and Marcona almonds. Whether intimidated amateurs or seasoned gourmets, every cheese lover benefits from monthly tastings such as tonight’s with Beehive Cheese Company, makers of a black tea and bergamot oil cheddar.
