Locust Projects is all grown up. The circa 1998 alternative arts space that always kept one foot on thecool-kids side of the tracks relocated to a high-profile address in the Design District. In addition to reaping thebenefits of constant car and foot traffic, its site-specific exhibitions really blossom in double the former venue’s size including a bona fide project room; the exciting program expansion also brings in more boldface speakers from the international art circuit. In May New York artist Anya Kielar makes her Miami debut with Lines, a series of theatrical clothesline works combining paint and found objects.
