Fisher Island is an affluent neighborhood tucked away near Miami Beach. Unlike the high end island neighborhoods of Star Island or Hibiscus Island that offer traditional vehicular access, there is no such means of getting to Fisher Island unless it’s by the exclusive ferry. This inaccessibility has created a strong sense of mystery around Fisher Island which continues to draw some of the wealthiest celebrities and public figures in the world as residents.
Fisher Island real estate is among the most valuable in the United States and encompasses everything from condos and villas to mansions and penthouses. Most, if not all of the property is in the multimillions and offers a tremendous amount of square footage as well as rental and investment options. Since the entire island is relatively small and surrounded by Biscayne Bay there is little chance of not having great views from any one of the residences.
Since there is no quick way to get in and off Fisher Island, the island is largely self contained. It has its own fire department, post office, food market, school and lots of recreational activities from golfing to sunbathing and water sports that almost completely remove the need to ever leave the island itself. Even so, South Beach is right across so there’s always somewhere to go.
